Ballerina girls

I had a fantastic day on Saturday - five ballerina girl shoots in the studio - with girls ranging from 3 to 17 years old. It taught me a thing or two about ballet and I loved every minute. The girls and their parents all enjoyed themselves too, which is always great for me to see.

Here are a few examples of what I was up to...I am making a full slideshow of the day but I may keep it until the mums and dads have seen all of the images first.

Anyway, enjoy. Introducing the 2011 Ballerina Portrait Awards

Torphins portrait photographer Suzanne Edge has been causing a stir in Deeside since exhibiting her children’s portraits with Deeside Camera Club in September 2010 as part of the North East Open Studios event.

Suzanne is now on the lookout for local ballerinas to take part in the 2011 Ballerina Portrait Awards and will be holding an exhibition to showcase the photographs later in the year. The Ballerina Portrait Awards give local ballerinas the chance to take centre stage and to experience portrait photography, whether in the studio or on location.

Sneaky peek - this week in the studio...

Well, I have been quiet lately but I have been working away...busy busy (and plotting lots too, but that's to tell you about on another day).

As well as fielding some NEOS calls (registration deadline is today so there were a few panicky calls) I have been taking photographs both in the studio and as part of a personal project....which will form the basis of my own NEOS exhibition in September. But then again, I do love the images from a shoot I did on Thursday - I could exhibit them! Here's a sneaky peek for Mum and Dad...

A week in the studio...

Well, Friday afternoon came around so quickly again. It's always nice to put some new studio shots up on the blog, I love watching the visitors pop by to see what I've been up to.

So here are some of my shots from this week. A family in the studio, another touch of tartan and a a kid with attitude! See you on the next one.

Spring Fayre for Torphins Playgroup coming up

I'm looking forward to Sat 26th March when I will be at the Spring Fayre organised by Torphins Playgroup. The fayre will be from 2pm-4pm at the Learney Hall and there will be lots of stalls including cakes, face painting, nails and fun stuff.



I will have a stand where you can see my latest products and portfolio and there
will be a chance to win a children's portrait session in a free to enter prize draw.
You can also book a sitting at the fayre at a special fayre price and I'm giving 10% of anything made as a result of fayre bookings back to playgroup!! So come and see me on the stand, book a family photoshoot and you'll be helping Playgroup with much needed fundraising...what a great idea!
